Upward Soccer Evaluations

Faith Community Church of God will once again this year be hosting UPWARD soccer. UPWARD’s unique program encourages character building and fun for every child by providing an evaluation tool that promotes equal and competitive teams, implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time, and creating an environment that allows every child to learn and improve their skills in the sport. UPWARD participants experience good sportsmanship both on and off the field and receive a special award after every game.
The emphasis of UPWARD is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship, not the scoreboard and standings. UPWARD’s is offered for both boys and girls ages 4 through 7th grade. In order to participate each player must attend one soccer evaluation. Registration and evaluations will take place at Faith Community Church, 3615 N. Norwood Road, on Saturday, July 23 and Saturday, July 30 between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The early registration cost this year is $55 per child before July 30; after July 30 the cost will become $65 per child. Along with a unique sports experience each player will receive a reversible jersey, water bottle, soccer socks, a car magnet, and an end-of-season award.
