This group of Huntington University students spent Saturday afternoon working with Salamonie School teacher Mr. Mark Buzzard, Principal Rick Reed and Assistant Principal Brad Ludlow clearing brush, spreading mulch and general clean-up of the trails and outdoor classroom at Salamonie.
The clean up is part of an ongoing effort to develop the outdoor space on the grounds of Salamonie School into a working outdoor lab for the students and teachers at the school... Read More...

As part of a bandwidth expansion project, Huntington County Community School Corporation has placed a wireless tower at Northwest Elementary School.
The 180 foot tower was constructed by Maplenet Wireless and raised on Wednesday, August 26th.

The Huntington North Marching Vikes are in the midst of rigorous training for their Fall 2009 marching season. For 9 days over a three week period, the band will rehearse from 8am-5pm to learn their football pregame show as well as their halftime and competition show. This year’s schedule was scrunched by the lesser amount of time in between the 4-H Fair and school start, so instead of two straight 5-day weeks, this year’s camp included last Thur/Fri, all this week plus Monday and Saturday of next week, but the band will be ready on TIME...
