Students Create Outdoor Learning Lab

Andrews Teachers Race For Books

The Andrews Elementary teachers had a Super Hero race sponsored by the Scholastic Book Fair on Wednesday, September 29th.  The teachers raced on scooters with their classes cheering them on.  Each team of teachers had one racer and one cheerleader.  The race was set up to promote the book fair which started on Friday, October 1st (Grandparents/VIP Day) and ending on October 8th... Andrews scholarship winners announced

Two students from Huntington North High School, Matthew Harter and Kourtney Johnson, have been named to receive the Andrews Elementary School Brandon Wilburn and Jason Harlan Memorial Scholarship. The former Andrews Elementary students will each receive a $500 scholarship.

Ice Sculptures by Andrew's 5th Graders

Fifth Grade Andrew's Elementary Students studied Environmental Art with a focus on the elements of form and space while using unexpected materials - ice and their school courtyard. Students planned for their sculptures by sketching a design, collecting recycled plastic materials and balloons, as well as paints; they then set everything in the courtyard and waited for the freezing to take place... First graders help Haiti

The First Grade students at Andrews Elementary were deeply saddened to see the desperation of the victims of the Haiti earthquake.  They decided to sell bottles of water during the morning. They chose to donate the money earned to The American Red Cross for their continued relief efforts in Haiti
