Andrews Singers in Concert

Andrews Elementary fifth grade students Harley Donnally, Emily Paulette, and Pryce Whisenhunt were selected to be members of the prestigious 2011 Children's All State Honor Choir. These three students, along with a select group of 4th & 5th grade singers will represent their school at the annual Circle the State with Song Festival at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, IN. The Children's All State Honor Choir consists of 140 outstanding singers who were selected from audition tapes submitted by music teachers from all over the state of Indiana. The group rehearsed and performed on January 20-21 at the Grand Wayne Center during the Indiana Music Educators Conference. The Circle the State with Song Festival will take place this Saturday, February 12. Students will rehearse with a combined choir of 200+ singers and perform at 3:30 p.m. under the direction of Mrs. Ruth Dwyer. Tickets are available at the door for $2.00 per person. Children 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
