Andrews Teachers Race For Books

The Andrews Elementary teachers had a Super Hero race sponsored by the Scholastic Book Fair on Wednesday, September 29th. The teachers raced on scooters with their classes cheering them on. Each team of teachers had one racer and one cheerleader. The race was set up to promote the book fair which started on Friday, October 1st (Grandparents/VIP Day) and ending on October 8th. A goal for the book fair was set at selling 1,000 books, putting books in the hands of students to promote reading. The team on Pat Brown, Mindy Reust, and Kelly Paulette (racer) won the race. The winning team won a $100 gift certificate to be used for books for their classroom libraries.
