Fifth Grade Andrew's Elementary Students studied Environmental Art with a focus on the elements of form and space while using unexpected materials - ice and their school courtyard. Students planned for their sculptures by sketching a design, collecting recycled plastic materials and balloons, as well as paints; they then set everything in the courtyard and waited for the freezing to take place. The assemblage was a bit cold, but well worth the wait!
