November 2, 2011 Two student groups from the Huntington North High School  “Viking New Tech” program, led by Director Mrs. Kelly Renier and Geometry Teacher Mr. Jarod Hammel, will be presenting their latest project in front of the watchful eyes of City Council.  Students Ellie Scheiber, Hannah Hubley and Spencer Veach, as well as the group consisting of Lina Willard, William Murray and Claire Harvey mathematically redesigned the city of Huntington in an effort to draw business, streamline traffic, and attract tourism that showcases the city.  The students successfully implemented geometric line and angle relationships that they had been working on throughout their downtown designs.  The two most creative and mathematically sound groups were extended an invitation to present their ideas in front of City Council on Wednesday November 9, 2011 at 7:00 p.m..
