The NFL Play 60 and the Nutrition and Dairy council directors came to Huntington North High School on November 29th from Indianapolis to recognize Amy Ehinger, a physical and health education teacher, and her students for meeting the most milestones in the state of Indiana. The Aerobics club preformed a dance for the directors that was one of the "plays" that the students did to stay active for at least 60 minutes a day. Each of the students took the pledge to "Play 60". The directors also judged a recipe contest in which Viking New Tech Healthy Lifestyles students created healthy recipes that included the five food groups. Head chef Aaron Butts from Joseph Decuis helped the student create the recipes and taught them how to make healthy substitution in their recipes. The directors of nutrition and dairy council picked the winning recipe. The winning recipe will be entered in a national contest in which students will have the opportunity to win Super Bowl tickets.
