HUNTINGTON, IN— The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of November 30-December 6, 2009. Women’s basketball senior Courtney Beerbower earned the honor for her outstanding effort during the week’s competitions.
Courtney Beerbower, an Elementary/Special Education major from Auburn, Indiana (DeKalbHigh School), led the Foresters past the University of Northwestern Ohio on Tuesday before heading into Thanksgiving break. Coming into the contest, she needed only three points to score her 1000th career point. She finished with 14 points and nine rebounds. Courtney is the 18th women’s basketball player to join HU’s 1,000 point club. The Foresters (6-2) return to action on Wednesday, December 2 when they host TaylorUniversity at
