Northeast is launching its second-annual community reading initiative, Now Read This! 2012. Residents of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio are encouraged to read, discuss and respond creatively to Shooting Star by local author Fred McKissack Jr.

Ivy Tech to Host Chinese Delegates

The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) has again included Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast in its Vocational Education Leadership Training Program (VELT) and has arranged for five Chinese community college delegates to visit Ivy Tech, Nov. 28 through Dec. 2.
The visiting representatives are: Guancheng Wang, chairman of college council for Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College; Jianchuan Peng, chairman of college council for Karamay Vocational and Technical College; Guanglu Xing, vice president of Qingdao Technical College; Xingfu Hu, vice president of Sichuan College of Architectural Technology; and Xiaoming Li, assistant president of Hunan Vocational College of Science and Technology... Science Central Hot Air Balloon Exhibit

Northeast worked with Science Central to relaunch their Hot Air Balloon exhibit , which they revealed this morning at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sen. Jim Banks, Ivy Tech Chancellor Jerrilee K. Mosier and Science Central Executive Director Martin Fisher spoke at the event.
