Last week, Lancaster's 1st graders used their math skills by measuring different pumpkins at various sizes, counting and eating the seeds, and by weighing them before and after they cleaned them out.
Their favorite part was creating unique jack-o-lantern faces.
Pumpkin poetry books were also written by the students to put in their home libraries.
