Happy Thanksgiving at Lancaster!

Happy Thanksgiving!

A special guest helped students in Mrs. Paff’s Kindergarten class learn about Thanksgiving today at school.

Mrs. Johns, a full Cherokee Native American, along with her daughter and son-in-law taught the students several Cherokee customs.  Students learned how to weave, make talking feathers, make cornmeal, speak some Cherokee words, and much more.

The students have been learning about pilgrims and Native Americans for several days now, and they were excited to get hands on experience.
