Pillowcase Challenge at Lincoln School

By Adam Drummond on Friday, June 4th, 2010 | Bookmark and Share

"Can you cut?  Do you know how to measure?  Can you press fabric?  Can you sew a straight line? Do you like to shop?  Do you like to spend money?  Do you like to donate money to a good cause? Would you like to participate in a Staff-wide Social Political Action Project?

If you answered yes to ANY of these questions, we NEED you to join us Monday and Tuesday, June 14th and 15th at Lincoln Elementary for the 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge (no, we are not making a million, just contributing to the 1 milllion).

American Patchwork and Quilting are challenging you to join the efforts to Make a Pillowcase and Make a Difference.  Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community.  A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident."

We have a great display in our staff lounge. If you would like more information, please contact Mrs. Nancy Wagner or Mrs. Lori Kline. They can be reached at 356-2914.
