Northwest Students Protect Their Brain

By Doug Hinthorn on Thursday, September 8th, 2011 | Bookmark and Share

Students in Mrs. Rachel Wenning's 4th grade class have been studying about the form and function of the human brain. Information taught has focused on how to best activate and protect the brain in order to optimize learning. Students created a device to protect their "brain" (a raw egg) during an Egg Drop science experiment. Many ingenious and practical suggestions were shared on how to protect not only their egg, but also their brain. Students will apply this thinking to further studies and focuses throughout the school year.
