Riverview students had a ribbon cutting today officially opening the new Physic Garden behind the school.

The first Hoosier History Bowl was held Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana Center, Indianapolis. This was a new activity for Indiana Junior Historical Society clubs, with the Riverview Middle School History Club participating. The motto of Optimist International is “Friend of Youth”. In keeping with this motto, the Huntington Optimist club has designated its Optimist Youth Appreciation Award to recognize a few of the outstanding young people in our community. Riverview’s sixth grade gold team students enjoyed ice cream as part of their community service project.
Their project goal was to collect donations for the Huntington County Humane Shelter.

Riverview Student Council recently sponsored a canned food drive.
This is an annual event for the middle school. This year students brought in 4,444 canned goods/ items that were donated to local families.

On Thursday September 10, the 8th Grade Blue Team for Riverview Middle School ventured out into the Huntington and Warren communities to perform community service. Our team of 92 students split into four different groups and was able to go to four different locations. On September 17th, Riverview Middle School's 6th grade students participated in the Ziptrip program sponsored by Purdue University. Students were able to go on an electronic field trip to Purdue University, where Purdue scientists were able to share their exciting work.
