Thursday night the Roanoke 3rd and 4th grades presented the “School House Rock” directed by Mr. Barry Jamison. It was a fun show that brought back many memories of Saturday mornings.

This week at Roanoke Elementary School, we celebrated Red Ribbon Week, to make a stand to be drug free. Each day we had a different activity to do, or something to wear. The Kindergartners at Roanoke Elementary School visited the Drennen Pumpkin Farm on Tuesday, October 20th. They went for a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick their very own pumpkins, were educated on how pumpkins grow, played games, visited the animal petting area and found their way through the corn maze... Grandparent's/ VIP Day was held at Roanoke Elementary School on Friday, October 16th.
The theme this year was "Honoring our Heritage". On Wednesday, October 7th, the third graders at Roanoke Elementary School were taught some fire safety tips from the Roanoke Fire Department.
They received a tour of the fire truck, learned some safety tips by trying out the smokehouse, and were able to try on some firemen's gear.
