Oh What a Night!

Roanoke Elementary School held it's annual "Science Experience Night" on Monday, March 14th. Each grade level planned some kind of science activities in their classrooms for all students to participate in. Science Central shared some activities that focused on the human body. The students were able to hold real cow eyes to see what they looked like up close and personal and they were able to watch a real set of pig lungs in action. Science Central brought along lots of extra props such as a full size skeleton, a model of the human body in which the students could take the organs in and out to see where they are located and a large model of what the ear looks like. The art teacher did activities on exploring color and the 4th grade rooms did "eggsperiments" and let students hold live chicks. We also had a science book giveaway in our library and rootbeer floats to top the evening off. A great time was had by all.
