Origami Fun at Roanoke Elementary

By Tammy Winans on Friday, April 16th, 2010 | Bookmark and Share

Roanoke Elementary School had the privilege of having author/origami artist, Christine Petrell Kallevig come to the school this week to share some of her "Storigamis" with us.

Mrs. Kallevig shared her stories while creating origami that went along with the story.  The students were also able to participate in the program by being the puppeteers for some of the origami animals while Mrs. Kallevig told the story.  She even brought along some fold-along activities in order for the students and staff to be able to create their own origami pieces.

A great time was had by all that attended.
