Huntington County Assessor, Terri Boone, is reminding residents that the State’s General Reassessment began July 1, 2010. The information gathered during the general reassessment will be applicable for taxes due and payable in 2013. This is the first year my office took on the responsibility of completing this task. Since 2006 this study had been contracted out by the Commissioners to an independent vendor and historically not completed in a timely manner.
