Huntington County Commissioners set auction for eighteen tax delinquent properties.
On Monday, the Huntington County Commissioners made final arrangements to allow for the sale of eighteen county owned tax lien certificates. The mixture of residential and commercial properties, some with structures intact, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 in the GAR Room on the second floor of the courthouse.
The properties to be offered for Commissioners Certificate Sale are those which were not redeemed or bid on at the last tax sale. The county has selected SRI Inc. to perform the live auction sale in which interested buyers can purchase a lien on the property. Minimum bids for the properties range from $50.00 - $100.00 and will have all delinquent taxes waived. The Commissioners will utilize this sale to return delinquent tax property back to the tax rolls, while offering perspective buyers a chance to buy real estate at a price well below market value.
More information on these available properties can be obtained from the county website at www.huntington.is.us by selecting County Commissioners, then Commissioners Sale or by visiting the Huntington County Auditor’s Office in person.
