The Health Dept would like to thank the Community Providers that have partnered with the Health Dept to deliver the H1N1 vaccine.
H1N1 Vaccine is available to the public at:
Walgreens Pharmacy
Kmart Pharmacy
Owen’s Pharmacy
RediMed of Huntington
H1N1 vaccine is available to patients of the following Private Practices:
Huntington General Practice
Huntington Medical Group
Family Practice Assoc
Pediatric Medical Group
Dr Stamm and Dr Rao
Dr S Schwieterman
Huntington Co Free Health Clinic
Please note an administration fee may apply at any Community Provider
Vaccine Availability and Health Department
Upcoming Plans for the CDC set priority groups
Vaccine continues to be below CDC projections, however, weekly shipments continue to arrive at the Health Department. Doses are distributed to Community Providers and are also administered through the Health Department by appointment only. Walk in clinics are not being scheduled at this time to avoid long lines. To date, approx 3,400 doses have been received from the State and approx 2,800 doses have been disbursed to our Community Providers.
The Health Department has received enough reserve vaccine this week to resume planning for school based clinics. These clinics will be announced through the School Corporation and parents are encouraged to use the School website: www.hccsc.k12.in.us to check for updates.
The Public should contact their Private Provider first or go to a Community Public Provider for vaccine administration. Citizens unable to access vaccine through the Community Providers can call the Health Dept to be placed on a list. Internal Clinics will be planned for CDC priority groups utilizing the established call list according to vaccine availability.
