The Indiana State Police is asking for the public’s assistance in solving a burglary that occurred at a rural Markle business early this morning.
According to Master Trooper Mike Jeffers, between midnight and 7:45 am an unknown person or persons forcefully entered through a locked and gated property located in the 4500 block of East Markle Road. While inside the gated area, the person(s) took a white 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck with “United REMC” on both doors (Indiana license plate number 280943) and a 2011 6’ x 12’ enclosed trailer.
Also taken from the property was a new coil of copper wiring which was said to weigh 300 pounds. Jeffers is asking anyone with any information to contact the Indiana State Police post in Fort Wayne at either (800) 552-0976 or (260) 432-8661. Anonymous tips are welcome.
