Huntington Plan Commission Appointment

The Mayors Office is seeking letters of interest from citizens that may wish to serve as the Mayor’s appointment to the Huntington City Plan Commission. The appointment would fill a vacant term that is set to expire on January 1, 2014. The applicant will be appointed because of their knowledge and experience in community affairs, and awareness of the social, economic, agricultural, and industrial problems of the city. Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm and the appointee may be considered for appointment to subcommittees of the Plan Commission.
Prospective applicants:
Must reside within the corporate limits of the City of HuntingtonMay not hold an elected or appointed officeMay not be of Republican Party political affiliationLetters of interest outlining qualifications and reasons for seeking appointment to the vacancy are being accepted until August 1, 2011.
