As the votes are coming in it is looking like a good night for the Republicans as Marlin Stutzman took the 3rd District Congressional seat and Dan Coats won his bit to return to the senate. Nationally the Republicans are taking over control of the house as the displeasure of the American people with the current direction of the country is being voiced. In the State the Republicans are also returning to the controlling party in the House.
Locally the Republicans are fairing just as well as Terry Stoffel picked up 60% of the vote over Independent Steve Ochs in the Sheriffs race. Terri Boone received 73% of the vote in the County Assessor race and Cheryl Schenkel picked up 76% of the vote in the County Recorder race. The following link will take you to all the local election results.
