Michelle Hoover wins National Award

Michelle Hoover, a ninth grader at Canterbury High School, earned a Gold Key from the "National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards of 2009" in the category of short stories with her work titled "Hot Ice”. Varsity Concert Choir goes to state

The Huntington North Varsity Concert Choir traveled to Indianapolis on Saturday, May 9 and came away with a 14th place finish.

Perennial powerhouse North Central from Indianapolis won the state title with Goshen High School taking second.

Local group gives Lincoln tribute

 The local Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Champion Hill Camp #17 presented an evening of local speakers and period music to honor our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln at the Hotel LaFontaine in Huntington on May 5.
