through the Sensations of Music”, presented by Indiana Academy of Science Uwe Hansen (Indiana physicist
and Acoustical Society of America Award winner), with accompaniment by Jeff Anderson, distinguished trumpeter and
Director Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, Indiana’s premier professional repertory big band jazz ensemble--the
Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra musicians, AND Rick Crosslin WFYI- Indiana Expeditions personality as Master of
Ceremony, at the Indiana State Museum . Co-sponsored by the Acoustical Society of America. Bring family and friends
to a great Saturday morning event like none other. A wonderful way to kick-off the holiday season.
The Indiana Academy of Science has been an important voice of Indiana science since its inception in 1885. It continues to
enjoy a high professional stature with a membership that includes many of the states’ premier scientists and science educators. The
Academy is one of the oldest scientific organizations in the United States, and holds a significant presence in the state of Indiana and
Midwest. The Indiana Academy of Science is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting scientific research, encouraging
communication and cooperation among scientists, diffusing scientific information, and improving education in the sciences.
