REELING Opens at the Pulse on November 11 at 8pm.
Shhhh! Silence is golden at the Pulse Opera House this holiday season. The final show of the 25th Anniversary Season is a salute to silent movies. Taking its cue from the silent masterpieces of Buster Keaton, the production tells the story of Buster (our hero) as he follows Beloved to Hollywood where she wants to be a star of the silent screen. The whole story is done without words. There is music underscoring the production along with live sound effects. The result is a show that is unique, refreshing and outright funny.
Heading up the cast of seasoned Pulse players in Liam Ryan. Liam comes to us directly from a tour on Celebrity Cruises where he and his fiancée Jana Henly performed. Liam is a native of Wales and has performed in venues worldwide.
Rounding out the cast are veteran Pulse Players from the area: Chase Adams, Rick Henly, Rita Hecht, Audrey Dean, Randy Neuman, Bart Willard, Danny Larsen, Mandy Shull, Linda Willard, David Templeton, Torrance Dean, Tom Ashley, Alan Short, Cheryl DeWeese, Lily Sabinski, Nick Stucky, Jana Henly, and Drew Henly
The show is a tribute to the actors/singers/dancers who performed at the Pulse in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of these performers ended up in Hollywood where they became silent movie actors. Charlie Murray, for example, earned a degree of fame as one of the original Keystone Cops.
This high-energy show has slapstick comedy, chase scenes (with Keystone Cops) and lots of surprises, Pulse Opera House style. Be sure to make your reservations early for this unique production!
