Ambassadors entertain Huntington crowd

The Huntington Tail Twisters put up a good fight through the first three quarters of their game against the Harlem Ambassadors Wednesday evening but the visitors wore down the local group and pulled out the victory in the final stanza 89-62.

Estimates are that approximately 1,400 fans got the chance to see the Ambassadors have fun playing football...  er... basketball in Huntington North arena.
While there was a quick football play late in the game, the majority of the game was, in fact, basketball.

There were plenty of other detours from the game and the Ambassadors had fun with each of them.

At halftime, children were invited down to the floor to dance and in the third quarter a lucky spectator won a signed basketball.  The only thing she had to do to claim the prize was walk from midcourt to the end line with the Ambassadors.  Of course she had to 'get her groove on' to do it.  It was an audience pleaser.

The Huntington Lions club was instrumental in securing the Ambassadors this year to help raise funds for their projects. Assisting them as silver sponsors were Harrell Financial Services and Northview Inn & Suites.

Bronze sponsors were Bippus State Bank, Daugherty Company,First Federal Savings Bank, Parkview Huntington Hospital,Rowley's Tree Service, Salamonie Mills,Saturn Wheels, Schroeder's Service, Warren Service & Supply, and Yeiter Construction.
Contributors listed were Dr. Eric Harman, Healing Oasis, Mike's Car Care, Pizza Junction,DeWeese Soft Water, Warren Pharmacy, Tom Sieberns Farms and Fritcha Plumbing.
