Huntington Free Press receives information from Wabash County and although we haven't always published it online, we know that Huntington residents are often seen in the community to our west. With the newly-remodeled County Museum such an incredible place to learn of the area's history, we felt that we should publish information regarding the museum for our readers. Upcoming events at the museum are:
History Hunters Event, July 22 at noon
Our next History Hunters event will be held at noon on Thursday, July 22, in the multipurpose room. President Teddy Roosevelt (as portrayed by Gib Young from Huntington) will be here to talk about his family’s experiences in the White House, his adventures as a rancher and cowboy on the Dakota Plains, his experiences in Oklahoma Territory on the great wolf hunt, life in Cuba with the Rough Riders, and more.
Special note about this! My last correspondence had an incorrect date for this event. The real, correct date is SATURDAY, JULY 31, from 10 am to 4 pm. By then, you might have run out of ideas for keeping your children entertained over the summer vacation. This will be a great family day out for your children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews…all the kids in your life! Our theme will be “MOVIES” and the team here is having fun coming up with fun ideas for this event. There might even be some popcorn involved. Admission is free for members or with a paid daily admission. Sponsored by The Bash 105.9.
