Kiwanis members part of road cleanup

As the sponsor of the portion of US 24 that passes through Roanoke, members of the Roanoke Kiwanis recently picked up garbage along the corridor. Tri Kappa to award scholarships

The State organization of Tri Kappa will award of variety of scholarships to college students throughout the state in the Spring. Each scholarship awarded is for $1,ooo. Since 1914 Tri Kappa has provided over $5 million in local and State scholarships.
Scholarship Chairs, Michelle Short of Huntington Chi Chapter Active Chapter and Nancy Mickley of Huntington Associate Chapters are currently seeking applicants to sponsor for an academic scholarship given to students from each of the 12 provinces in Indiana... Read More...

Fred Stricker, a former teacher and principal at Lincoln Elementary, Northwest Elementary and also Central School in Huntington County, will be celebrating his 80th birthday on November 30th, 2009.
