Damp Conditions Slows Planting Pace

The planting pace has slowed for area farmers over the past two weeks.  Many corn and soybean growers were able to plant the majority of their crop acres during a good stretch of weather in April.  However, the recent rainy, cool weather has slowed both planting and emergence.
