4-H Shooting Muzzleloader Classes begin

The Shotgun discipline of the Huntington County 4-H Shooting Sports program will begin classes on Tuesday, March 9, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Family Living Building, Hier’s Park, Huntington, Indiana.  Any youth interested in the shotgun discipline must complete the required paperwork, along with parent signatures and permission forms and pay the $20 registration fee no later than the first shotgun meeting on March 9... 4-H RC Driving Project to begin meetings

Huntington County 4-H RC Driving project will begin on Tuesday, March 2, from 6-8 pm at Heritage Hall, Hier’s Park.  This 4-H project, piloted in 2009, is designed to involve youth in hands-on learning about safe driving practices.  Youth will experience a variety of driving scenarios using battery-operated 1/10th scale vehicles... 4-H Horse & Pony Scholarship offered

4-H youth who are currently seniors in high school and enrolled in the 4-H Horse & Pony project are eligible to apply for the Area XI 4-H Horse & Pony Scholarship.  Applicants must be planning to enter post high school study or training following high school graduation.  Selection criteria includes the applicant’s involvement in the 4-H horse & pony project along with of 4-H and community activities... 4-H Tractor meetings to begin March 1

Huntington County 4-H Tractor club meetings will begin on Monday, March 1 at Dennis Grain, 587 E 800 N, Huntington, 7:00-8:30 pm.  It is helpful for parents to also attend this first meeting to assist in completing the 4-H Club enrollment paperwork and required signatures.  Four additional meetings will be held:

Tuesday, March 9 at Heritage Hall, Hier’s Park

Monday, March 15 at Koenig Equipment, State Road 9 North

Monday, March 22 at Wertenberger Tire, 1400 S Jefferson, Huntington

4-H Fair Board meeting scheduled

The Huntington County 4-H Fair Association will meet Tuesday, February 16th at 7:00 pm in Heritage Hall at Hier’s Park.  The board will discuss continuing plans for the annual County 4-H Fair to be held July 16-30.
