Huntington County will hold its annual 4-H Beef Identification Day on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the cattle barns, Hier’s Park, Huntington. Huntington County 4-H members planning to exhibit beef steers and/or non-registered breeding heifers must bring their animals for weighing, identification and ear-tagging between the hours of 9:00 am – 12:00 noon on January 7.
Animal enrollment forms were mailed the week of December 20th to all 4-H Beef members who were enrolled in the 4-H beef project for the previous year. The County Extension Office has additional copies of the necessary paperwork for interested youth who has not yet received the forms. All paperwork must be completed during the January 7th identification day.
