The Huntington County 4-H program is in need of adult volunteers to assist with the leadership and guidance of community based 4-H clubs. 4-H clubs involve youth from grade 3 through grade 12 in a variety of activities from learning how to run a business meeting to learning new skills in project work to gaining a greater sense of the community through service and outreach projects. Volunteer orientation and training is provided for all new volunteers. Adults interested in working with younger youth in grades kindergarten through 2nd grade may become involved with the Mini 4-H program.
Interested adults must complete a 4-H volunteer application form and proceed through the volunteer screening process to ensure appropriate placement as an adult volunteer within the county 4-H program.
For more information about serving as a volunteer in the Huntington County 4-H program, contact Linda Aldridge, Extension Educator, 4-H Youth, at the Purdue Extension – Huntington County office, located at 354 N Jefferson Street – Suite 202, Courthouse Annex, Huntington or calling 260-358-4826 or email laldridg@purdue.edu.
