The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County received a $5,000 Walmart Gift Card and $1,000 in Elmer’s products by winning the Elmer’s Projects for Great Futures competition.  The contest ran during this past holiday season, between November 25 and December 12, 2011, in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Give the Gift of a Great Future holiday campaign.

The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County will utilize the Elmer’s supplies at their Warren, IN location.  The Warren Club is located at 1063 E. 900 Street and opened last year in Huntington County.  While this location has only been operating for a short time, the additional prizes will be used toward much-needed Club supplies. Those include: four computers, a printer, gym equipment and supplies needed to support their popular Artastic! program.

BACKGROUND:    Nearly 4,000 locations in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America network had the opportunity to submit a project on an Elmer’s TriFold Display Board, which are carried at Walmart Stores across the country. Finalists were selected from various Boys & Girls Clubs from across the nation and  supporters voted for their favorite projects. Elmer’s Products donated $1 for each vote to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, up to $50,000.
