5th Annual “Duck Race on the Wabash” tickets are now for sale!
Family Centered Services is now selling tickets for the 5th annual “Duck Race on the Wabash” to be held on Saturday, August 14th at Kehoe Park in Bluffton. This year your ticket can help twice as much, as Family Centered Services has an anonymous donor that is matching the money raised from the Duck Race. The goal this year is to realize at least $25,000 in profit to assist in sustaining ten youth and family serving programs in Huntington and Wells Counties. As a nonprofit social service agency, local fundraising is crucial to FCS’s ability to provide life-saving and life-changing services to children and families.
The event will include free children’s games, music and snacks from 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. with the ducks plunging into the Wabash at 2:00 p.m. The ducks will “swim” down the river, racing to the finish line where our valiant volunteers from the Wells County Fire Departments will be waiting to pluck them out of the water as they come through the chute. The first duck to cross the finish line wins the grand prize of $1,000. The remaining 29 prizes include great products and gift certificates donated by Huntington, Wells and Adams County merchants. (Please see list attached)
FCS was incorporated in 1990 and currently offers ten youth and family serving programs delivering services to over 1,000 families and youth every year. Their mission is to provide compassionate, respectful, and innovative services that strengthen and support families and their communities. Call 358-1859 in Huntington or 824-8574 in Bluffton or visit our website at www.familycenteredservices.org if you wish to buy tickets or get more information.
