Plan to take a walk with ghosts at the annual Forks of the Wabash Ghost Walk, Saturday, October 23. Tours begin at 6:00 PM and continue every 15 minutes until 8:30. Groups are kept small so call ahead for reservations at 356-1903. The cost is a simple $4.00 each. While waiting for your tour you can peruse the museum displays or browse in the gift shop and afterwards enjoy a cup of cider and a doughnut. Tours are led by experienced guides and the paths are lighted.
The idea of the walk is to experience our German log home, the one-room school house, Chief LaFontaine's house as well as the canal room by candlelight. You'll hear stories of mystery told in these settings by costumed story tellers. Although it is a fun evening for adults and older children, pre-schoolers are asked not to attend. If you have not participated in this event, you need to give it a try as it is a great way to enjoy the historic atmosphere of "The Forks".
