Home Dedication & Open House

By Jean Wright on Thursday, February 16th, 2012 | Bookmark and Share

Huntington County Habitat for Humanity is praising God and announcing the completion of its 24th home in Huntington County.

The dedication ceremony for Kim Clickner’s home will be Sunday, February 26, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at 1638 Jessup Street in Huntington. Everyone is invited to help bless Kim’s home and to enjoy the Open House immediately following. Parking is available at the Habitat office located at 1454 Etna Avenue. Refreshments will be provided.

Kim completed 250 hours of “sweat equity” in preparation for home ownership. She completed several classes and participated for over 140 hours in the construction of her new home. Her final step is to sign a 20-year, no-interest, no-profit mortgage.

This home was built with multiple hours of volunteer construction labor of love, donations and financial contributions from the Huntington County community.

Habitat homes are well constructed and very energy efficient, enabling the homeowners to more affordably provide a decent home for their families. Kim’s Habitat home is not just a home, but hope, stability, and a promise to her children for their future.

Everyone deserves a decent place to live. Please attend the dedication to celebrate this family’s achievements and future.
