Lahr joins Huntington Habitat

Jay Lahr Joins Huntington County Habitat for Humanity

 

Huntington County Habitat for Humanity announces the appointment of Jay Lahr to their staff as the Accountant/Bookkeeper.  Lahr brings many years of experience in the non-profit world of accounting to Habitat for Humanity. 

 

Lahr serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington.  During his professional experience, Lahr has served as the Treasurer of South Adams Schools, as the Clerk Treasurer for the City of Huntington, and as the Business Office Manager for Taylor University, among other impressive appointments.  Lahr is a lifelong resident of Huntington County.  He graduated from Huntington University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and completed Municipal Government Continuing Education at Ball State University. 

 

Lahr is married to Beth (Burford) Lahr, who is employed with Huntington University.  Lahr and his wife have two grown children and seven grandchildren.    Please join Habitat for Humanity in welcoming Jay Lahr to serve with the Habitat for Humanity mission. 

 

The Vision of Huntington County Habitat for Humanity is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.  The Mission is seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.  Huntington County Habitat for Humanity has built or renovated 23 homes in Huntington County, with number 24 nearing completion at 1638 Jessup Street, Huntington.
