Historical Society Volunteer of the Year

The Huntington County Historical Society recently presented its Volunteer of the Year Award for 2011 to David Bischoff. 

Dave joined the Society in April of 2011.  Since then, he has devoted nearly 85 hours to the museum.  He has contributed his excellent organizational skills in the Archives Room, sorting and filing hundreds of items in the flat storage drawers... Read More...

Historical Society November Meeting

The November 15, 2011 General meeting of the Huntington County Historical Society will be held at the museum, beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Phyllis Fisher will present a program featuring her extensive collection of Currier and Ives.  Currier and Ives formed the successful printing firm whose lithographs were considered “appropriate for a proper home” by American Woman’s Home magazine in 1869...
