Historical Museum "Gets a Lift"

By Pat Bergdall on Saturday, September 17th, 2011 | Bookmark and Share

Lowell Richardson, president of the Huntington County Historical Society, is shown testing the newly-installed chair lift in the Historical Museum, purchased through generous donations from Psi iota Xi Sorority, Duke Energy, Beacon Credit Union, and individual donors.  The lift will make accessible the 1,000 sq. ft. balcony exhibit space dedicated to Huntington County sports and athletes.

The Museum, 315 Court St., is open Wednesday through Friday from 10-4, and most Saturdays from 1-4.  Tours and group visits may be scheduled by calling 356-7264.
