The Huntington County Historical Society will hold an open meeting Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 7 PM at the Historical Museum, located at 315 Court St. The meeting is free and open to the public. Dean Stephan, former teacher, coach and principal at Lincoln School will talk about community sports of the late ‘40s and ‘50s, focusing particularly on Horace Mann, Lincoln, Central and Riley Schools. Friends and former players and students are especially invited to attend the meeting and share their memories of sports participation. Light refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting.
The next special meeting will be held on November 16, 2010, and will feature Bill Shaneyfelt’s “Memories of the Caswell-Runyan Fire”.
