Historical Society Volunteer of the Year

The Huntington County Historical Society recently presented its Volunteer of the Year Award for 2011 to David Bischoff.
Dave joined the Society in April of 2011. Since then, he has devoted nearly 85 hours to the museum. He has contributed his excellent organizational skills in the Archives Room, sorting and filing hundreds of items in the flat storage drawers. He has learned to use the museum software to catalog and update records in the museum collection. In addition, he assisted with sorting, filing, and organizing school files, making it easier to locate information for visitors. Dave also took a turn hosting the museum booth at both the 4-H Fair and at Pioneer Festival.
