College Savings Session on February 22nd

Pathfinder Community Connections, the Community Development division of Pathfinder Services, is participating in the 2012 America Saves Week Campaign with a FREE event focused on the College Choice 529 Direct Savings Plan information on February 22nd.

Temeka Easter, Institutional Relationship Manager for the CollegeChoice 529 Direct Savings Plan will be providing informative sessions on how to save for college.

The CollegeChoice 529 Plan is a Direct Savings Plan designed for parents and grandparents. Focus on their future with CollegeChoice 529 and put College Savings in the picture. Pathfinder Community Connections encourages people to come find out how easy it is to open and contribute to a CollegeChoice 529 Plan.

Those in attendance will receive free lunch and a chance to win door prizes!

Exhibitors including Bippus State Bank, Edward Jones, Innovative Financial Services, Markle Bank, will be on-hand at the Pathfinder North Campus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to obtain further information on the 529 Plan and allow attendees to start saving right away.

The event will be as follows:

10 –2 Exhibitor booths open at Pathfinder North Campus, 2824 Theater Avenue in Huntington,

11 – 11:30 a.m. Presentation by Tameka Easter with Q & A following at Pathfinder Services North Campus located at 2824 Theater Avenue in Huntington,

12:30 – 1 p.m. Presentation by Tameka Easter with Q & A following at Pathfinder Services North Campus located at 2824 Theater Avenue in Huntington,

2 – 2:30 p.m. Presentation by Tameka Easter with Q & A following at Pathfinder Services Located at 1152 East State Street in Huntington.

The 529 CollegeChoice informational session is part of a larger nationwide America Saves Week that includes local, regional, and national organizations. Local Saves weeks have been organized in Huntington by Pathfinder Community Connections. America Saves was founded in 2001 to encourage non-saving Americans to save through a social marketing approach. About 1,800 organizations in over 50 local areas participate in America Saves Week, and have successfully encouraged and assisted hundreds of thousands of savers.

Pathfinder Community Connections is the community development division of Pathfinder Services and was created in 1997. Pathfinder Community Connections guides potential home buyers through the entire process of pre-purchase education, loan packaging, closing on the home, post purchase counseling, and when in need foreclosure prevention.
