As the 2009 Pacesetter Campaign kicks off, some companies decided to do more than just their traditional fun events to rally support for the United Way Campaign. This year, the United Way’s theme is “Serving Our Community” and this year’s financial Pacesetter companies wanted to find a way to do just that.
Beacon Credit Union, First Federal Savings Bank, and Teachers Credit Union are teaming up for a community food, clothing, and supply drive for Love In the Name of Christ. They will be collecting items at their Huntington locations between July 6 and July 24. Sue Rumple of Beacon Credit Union is excited to be a part of the community drive and believes it is a good way to actively support the local community. “I love this community and feel the businesses and people are very giving and supportive. This is a great place to live and raise a family. Supporting the United Way Community Drive is a way to give back to our neighbors, friends, and family.”
The public is encouraged to join the banks in their Community Drive by dropping off donations at any of their Huntington locations between now and July 24.
