Ambie Conley

Ambie Conley, 99, Huntington, Indiana died at 1:17 a.m. March 15, 2010 at the residence of her daughter in Huntington.

Mrs. Conley was born March 11, 1911 in Flat Gap, KY to John and Mary Emmaline McDowell Tolliver. Her parents preceded her in death.

Her first marriage was to George Huff.  He preceded her in death in 1936.  Her second marriage was to Rollie Conley.  He preceded her in death in 1954. 

Mrs. Conley was a homemaker and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church

Survivors include:  One daughter Sue and her husband Otis Jones, Huntington, Indiana and two sons: Gary and his wife Jean Conley, Huntington, Indiana and Pastor Brunk and his wife Mary Conley, Huntington, Indiana. A daughter-in-law, Pat Conley.  Eighteen grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 11 Great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded  in death by: Four sons: Billy Conley, George Huff, Willard Ray Huff and Harry Marvin Huff and five sisters:  Mae Miller, Vernie Kittle, Dixie Akers, Opal Tolliver and Moncie Tolliver.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church, 1806 Salamonie Ave, Huntington, Indiana 46750.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 18, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Freewill Baptist Church.  Rev. Herman Johnson will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the First Freewill Baptist Church in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery Huntington, Indiana.

McElhaney - Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN is in charge of  arrangements.
