Dorothy G. Hawthorne

Dorothy G. Hawthorne, 84, Muncie, IN, died Monday, October 19, 2009 in the Golden LivingCenter of Muncie, IN.

She was born Sunday, January 11, 1925 in Virgil SD, Daughter of the late Robert Schamber and the late Tillie N. Evensen Schamber. She married Edwin L. Bramblett November 1, 1945. He died in 1973. She then married Jack D. Hawthorne March 26, 1976, he died in April of 2005 .

She worked as a Secretary for Weaver Popcorn Co. of Van Buren for a time and also for the Doyle Brothers Egg Co. in Van Buren, In. . She was a member of .the Holy Trinity Lutheran church in Muncie, IN. She was a Past President the Van Buren American Legion Aux. Post # 368, Van Buren, IN. After the death of her first husband Mrs. Hawthorne moved to Calif. in 1975 and then returned to Muncie in 2004

Surviving are 2 Daughters: Mrs. Lou Ellen (Tim) Botkin of Muncie and Mrs. Karen (Terry) M. Enochs of Washington Court House, OH, 2 Sisters-in Law: Mrs Madonna Schamber of Westfield, IN. and Mrs. Ida Schamber of Marion., IN. 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren and another one coming in November 2009.

She was preceded in death by Mother and Father: Robert and Tillie(Evensen) Schamber 1st Husband: Edwin L. Bramblett 2nd Husband: Jack D. Hawthorne Daughter: Donna Kenyon Brothers: Herbert and Clarence Schamber. Sister: Mrs. Clara Sveen

Graveside Services will be held at the Van Buren Cemetery Saturday October 24, 2009 at 2:00pm

with Pastor John Malzahn officiating. Interment will follow in the VAN BUREN CEMETERY, Van Buren, Indiana 46991.

Visitation is from 1 to 2 pm, Saturday October 24, 2009, at the Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, Van Buren, Indiana.
