Dorothy May Howard, 92, of West Haven CT and formerly of Huntington and Leesburg “Irish Lake” Indiana passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Apple Rehab in West Haven, CT.
Dorothy was born November 28, 1919 in Huntington, IN to Rudolph and Dorothy (Karst) Meyer. Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Howard married Robert L. Howard on February 14, 1942 he passed away in 1974.
Dorothy was retired from Our Sunday Visitor.
She was survived by two daughters: Saundra Kay McCauley of West Haven Ct, and Martha S. Wonder of Bloomington, IN. Also surviving are Five Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one Daughter: Sue Ann Howard, one Brother: Richard Meyer and one Grandson.
Viewing will be Monday, January 23, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McElhaney - Hart Funeral Home 715 North Jefferson St. Huntington, IN 46750.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January, 24, 2012 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church 860 Cherry St. Huntington, IN 46750 with Father Ron Rieder Presiding.
Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington, IN.
