John "Curtis" Allen

John "Curtis" Allen, 74, of Warren, IN, passed away at  7:45 PM, on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his residence in Warren, IN.  He was born on Monday, May 24, 1937, in Huntington County, IN.  He was the son of the late Cleatus Allen and the late Roma (Havens) Allen.  Mr. Allen was a 1956 graduate of Jefferson Township High School, Huntington County.  He married Garnet M. (Hardin) Allen on September  1, 1956 in Warren, Indiana.  He retired from General Motors- Marion, Indiana in 1993 after 30 years of service.  Mr. Allen enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his grandkids and collecting John Deere Tractors.  He was a member of the Marion First Church of the Nazarene: Marion, IN and attended Hillcrest Church of The Nazarene: Warren, IN.

Brother-Larry (Mavis) Allen of Greenfield, Ind.
Granddaughter-Nicole (Charlie) Shideler of Warren, Ind.
Granddaughter-Ashley (Doug) Knowles of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Granddaughter-Julie (Tyler) Davis of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Granddaughter-Morgan Miller of New Albany, Ind.
Grandson-Drake Miller of New Albany, Ind.
Grandson-Mark Christlieb of Navarre, Fla.
Grandson-Lee Christlieb of Navarre, Fla.

Arrangements are being handled by Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, Ind., where family and friends may gather to share and remember at the funeral home from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2012.  A service to celebrate Curtis's Life will be at  Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2012 with the Pastor Gerald Moreland officiating.  Interment will be at Gardens of Memory in Marion, Ind.
