Larry Alan Falcone, age 64, of Huntington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 12:12 a.m. Sunday (August 12, 2012) at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington.
Larry was born November 19, 1947, in Huntington, to Russell and Patricia (Haneline) Falcone. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1966. Larry was inducted into the United States Marine Corp in 1967 and served as a corporal in the Vietnam War.
Larry worked at United Technologies in Huntington from 1991-2008 as a lead technician. Before then he worked at Lock Steel & Chain as a foreman and K-Mart Warehouse in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 85 in Huntington. Larry loved to play softball and spending time with his family, friends, coworkers and his cat Semper Fi.
He is survived by a son – Brian A. Falcone; two daughters – Susan Q. (Tony) Gomez of Columbia City and Dawn R. (Scott) Daniels of Huntington; two brothers - James (Pam) Falcone of Huntington, Sheridan (Sondra) Falcone of Fort Wayne; a sister – Paula (Albert) Blair of Huntington; eight grandchildren – Tasha Biehl, Shasta Ball, Trevor Biehl, Justin Daniels, Kayleigh Daniels, Kaytlin Falcone, Brooke Falcone, Chase Falcone; two great-grandchildren - Maddison Bernardon and Caleb Ball; one step grandchild – Tiffany Snyder. His parents precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 3 - 7 p.m. Thursday (August 16, 2012) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (August 17, 2012) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750 with one -hour visitation prior to service. Rev. Elzie Spencer will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with the V.F.W. Post #2689 providing military graveside rites.
